Objectives

‘RMIT Next’ is an ongoing campaign created to drive engagement with the university’s strategy and direction for the next 5 years. Their aim is to find out what issues matter most to their community and spark discussions on the challenges that the university is facing now and into the future.

UI Design

There were a lot of interesting UI challenges with RMIT Next. From creating visually unique sections of the site for different themes, to designing in-page commenting functionality. The aim was to always balance the youthful, edgy feel with accessible, easy-to-use functionality.

Key takeaways

One of the benefits of designing for an on-going project is the opportunity to evolve designs and respond to real-time user behaviour and feedback to make the site even more engaging.
